Ingredients for kichadi with sabudhana :
- Sabudhana - 2 cup
- Roasted Peanuts - 1/2 cup coarsely grind
- Potato - 1
- Carrot-1
- Capsicum -1
- Green peas –1/2 cup
- Onion - 1/2 chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Ghee - 2 tblsp
- Turmeric- 1tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves – 6
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Cilantro - handful
- Green chillies - 2-3 finely chopped
Method for kichadi with sabudhana :
- Wash sabudhana and soak for hole night.
- Again wash sabudana before use.
- Now heat ghee in pressure cooker and add Cumin seeds ,Curry leaves,Mustard seeds
- When seeds start splutter add green chilli and onion.
- when onion turn to brown add Potato , Carrot, Capsicum , Green peas till completely cooked.
- Add sabudhana salt and turmeric.reduce the heat and cook it covered for about 3 minutes. No water is needed. The water that the sabudhana must have absorbed during soaking is sufficient to cook it.
- Now add the grinded peanuts and mix well.
- Finally add Cilantro and cook for 5-8 minutes.
- Remove from the flame.
- Sabudana kichadi is ready to serve.
